Brandon Amos Shares his Top Shows of 2019

This is never easy! To me, every photo has meaning, and some of my favorite photos may not be in focus or amazing lights, but its the emotion in the photo that I love. As you read, click on any of the images to read the full review and see more photos from the show!

Wood Brothers with Priscilla Renae

The Wood Brothers, along with Priscilla Renae, played a intimate show at The Appell Center in York, Pa. This shot shows how musicians get lost in the music and the feel of the crowd.

St. Paul and the Broken Bones

When St. Paul and the Broken Bones rolled into Baltimore, they brought the soul with them. They played to a sold out crowd. I felt like this was a religious experience.

Skillet

I love rock and roll. I was so surprised with Skillet. Korey Cooper was so much fun to watch and photograph. Every song, she went at it 100%.

Shinedown

Shinedown is our family bonding band. When I got word I was photographing them, I immediately got goosebumps. Brent Smith is so entertaining, just like Freddie Mercury or Robert Plant. He is always playing to the crowd.

Ryan Bingham

Ryan Bingham is who I listen to while working with horses. When he came to the 9:30 Club I was so ready for this. His music and band were so tight. Plus it is always cool when the artist use your shots.

Pop Evil

I love it when artists play into the camera. I saw him approaching and just kept clicking. Pop Evil’s guitar player was all about it.

New Years Day

Action shots of hair! No one is easier to photograph then New Years Day singer Ashe Costello. So much fun and beautiful.

Lukas Nelson

My heroes have always been cowboys and Lukas Nelson is it! Talk about feeling music… he is always in the moment.

Godsmack

This shot is about the lighting. It was perfect timing . Godsmack put on a show that will shake your soul.

Gary Clark Jr.

Finally, Gary Clark Jr. is the blues man we need. This shot just tells you he was taking in the energy of the crowd and getting ready to unleash lightning from that guitar.

So thanks to Shantel and These Subtle Sounds. It is so good working with amazing music lovers!
