HU Presents – Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit

First Concert in well over year.

During the past month I have actually thought to myself, I don’t know if I want to photograph a show. Not really for any other reason than I have had life going in different directions. So Saturday comes around I start getting anxious, in a good way. As soon as I got to Riverfront Park in Harrisburg Pa, I felt at the excitement build.

As soon as Brittney Spencer played the first chord and the sound hit my chest, I knew this is another place I belong. This woman’s voice melts the heart. Her version of Landslide along with her original Sober and Skinny grabbed everyones attention.

Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit hit the stage with purpose breaking into “24 Frames” was the perfect start to a show that never slowed down.  The 400 Unit has to be one of the tightest bands around today. The show ended with covers of Drive by Truckers “Never Gonna Change” and the Stones “Gimme Shelter”, along with Brittney Spencer… and it was pure fire.
