Musicians: Sharing Happiness during Quarantine

We are now officially wrapping up the third full week of quarantine. It sucks. Not going to lie. In addition to the 25 shows, as a team, we have missed in these last 3 weeks, we are now facing show cancellations currently reaching into June. It truly feels like this will never end.

Over the last three weeks, we have showcased so many artists who are helping to keep our spirits up by performing live-stream shows for their fans. Throughout the next month or two, we will be featuring 2-3 artists a week, in hopes that you will find comfort in this substitution for live music!

For now, I wanted to share just a few videos that brought a smile to my face this week. Some you may have seen floating around social media, but I wanted to compile them all in one place. This is truly history in the making. We will look back at this one day and remember the joy that musicians have brought to our lives!

Enjoy these few videos!

Lizzy and the Triggermen showcase a music video of their new song, “Dance Song (for the End of the World),” created with the help from several of their musician friends!

Broadway performer, Jordan Grubb teams up with fellow actors to deliver a fantastic lip-synced version of “One Day More” from Les Misérables.

Alan Bartram of The Travelin McCourys performing “King of the Road” by Roger Miller.

Yunglud and Machine Gun Kelly prove that bathrooms really do have the best acoustics! Here’s their duet cover of “Champagne Supernova” by Oasis.

The National Orchestra of France assembles together virtually to perform (my personal favorite classical piece), Ravel’s “Bolero”.

Stephan Jenkins of Third Eye Blind treats us to an acoustic version of “Motorcycle Drive By” from his front porch.

@tribeca ・・・ “I’ve never been so alone, and I’ve never been so alive.” This rendition of @thirdeyeblind’s “Motorcycle Drive By,” comes straight from frontman @stephanjenkins’s front stoop in San Francisco — it’s the latest installment in our #SoundtrackSunday series, bringing you exclusive music direct from the ❤️’s and ?’s of artist friends of the Festival. A fan favorite off the band’s 1997 self-titled debut album, this song is the subject of a documentary short by the same name that was originally set to premiere at Tribeca 2020. “…(This Festival) is more than a yearly film event, it’s an ongoing and vibrant arts community,” Jenkins says. “Tribeca supports my favorite city in the world at this crushing time of need. I’m happy to contribute this song…Wishing everyone in New York and around the world safety and health.”

Lastly, the beautiful Gal Godot pulled together some of our favorite actors to share “Imagine” by John Lennon.
