Ring the Alarm! The Wood Brothers Bring the House Down

On Monday January 21st, The Wood Brothers rolled into York PA to perform at this beautiful theater, The Strand. Although there were record freezing temperatures outside, there were plenty of warm feelings inside.

The night began with Priscilla Renea, who is touring in support of her new album Coloured. She came out to prove she is the real deal. As a songwriter, she has plenty notches in her belt. She has written hits such as “Something Bad About to Happen” by Carrie Underwood, “California King Bed” by Rhianna, and “Worth It” by Fifth Harmony. She truly has a voice to stop you in your tracks.

Then, right before The Wood Brothers were about to start their set, the fire alarm went off and the building was cleared out into the cold streets. However, it wasn’t long before the crowd was shuffled back in and they were ready for a real treat. Finally, the Nashville-based band hit the stage and kicked off the show with “I Got Loaded”. That was all it took and the race was on!

To bring the night to a perfect end, gathering around a single microphone with all other mics off, the band along with Priscilla Renea, captured the audience saying this is the old way with new vibes. Then the Wood Brothers rounded out their set with “Postcards from Hell”. If you ever have a chance to catch The Wood Brothers and Priscilla Renea, DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW!
