We are kicking off June and Pride Month with a delightful little tune by Mary Prankster – “Sweet Beet”.
I just love this song! Musically, it calls back to 1940’s swing jazz, with that catchy beat, soft horns, and playful vocals that just makes you want to dance with your favorite dancing partner! This song will quickly get into your head and stay there – in a great way – and will definitely put you in a good mood!
The video for the song has been animated by California-based animator Jacq Kirkman, who Mary has been working with over the last few months. The video perfectly illustrates the song’s message of gender inclusivity and unconditional love.
As a teacher and parent, I appreciate this song so much. I feel it’s the perfect way to share the beautiful message that we can love freely and accept each other just they way we are!
Thank you, Mary Prankster, for this lovely song!
Happy Pride Month Everyone!
