Singer, songwriter, and record producer, Santigold, stopped at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD recently, and I was there to take some photos. The house was packed, fans were losing their shit, and Santigold was all smiles during her flawless set. 

The incredibly beautiful and talented musician simply know as Santigold is currently out on a short tour celebrating the 10th anniversary of her 2008 self-titled debut album. Every show on the tour will include a performance of the album in its entirety along with a few other Santigold jams off her most recent album, 99¢. 

Santigold’s performance was amazing. No foolin’. Great singing, playing, and dancing. Her music sounds like a clever mix of ear-friendly musical genres, and the stage set looked like a scene straight out of a Dr. Seuss book. Though Santigold may seem like somewhat of a pop artist, don’t be fooled. Her music is quite psychedelic, alternative, and unique.
