PREVIEW: ‘Godfather of Punk’ Iggy Pop Takes Over The Anthem – 9/29/25

Iggy Pop, the “Godfather of Punk”, is coming to The Anthem on September 29th and it’s a performance that can’t be missed.

The legendary singer of Iggy and the Stooges has influenced generations of artists from The Sex Pistols and Joy Division to Nine Inch Nails and Nirvana and even newer artists like Yungblud. And while songs like “I Wanna Be Your Dog” from The Stooges and solo material “Lust For Life,” “The Passenger,” and “Candy” are part of the American song book it’s Iggy Pop’s live shows that continue to prove Pop is one of the most exciting performers that crosses generations.

Iggy Pop’s most recent release, Every Loser, is his critically acclaimed 19th solo album, featuring an all-star cast of musicians including Duff McKagan (Guns ‘N Roses), Josh Klinghoffer and Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Stone Gossard (Pearl Jam); Dave Navarro, Eric Avery, and Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction); and the late Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters).
