Of Monsters and Men have Returned

It’s been 3 years since Of Monsters and Men have toured the United States; however, the wait is finally over. The band have kicked off their U.S. tour, which spans the month of September, at The Anthem in D.C. and it was a great show!

Of Monsters and Men are an indie rock band from Iceland, formed in 2010. They are currently touring in support of their latest album, Fever Dream, which was just released in July. Their show at The Anthem included seven debut live performances of songs from this album. They started the night with the very popular single from this new album, “Alligator” then mixed their set up with a few fan favorites from their two earlier albums, My Head Is an Animal and Beneath the Skin.

They rounded out their main set with three songs from their debut album, My Head Is an Animal: “Lakehouse”, “Little Talks”, and “Six Weeks”. After returning to the stage for their encore, Of Monsters and Men performed two more debut songs but also included two more songs from their debut album, “Dirty Paws”, and “Yellow Light”. All in all, the band performed 8 songs from this album creating a setlist that was every bit about their new material as it was about their original work.

If you missed this show, be sure to catch them in Philadelphia at The Met Philadelphia on September 10th! You can purchase tickets for that show, here.
