On April 28th, The Kali and Jorja Tour kicked off at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. with amazing and energetic performances by both artists! Jorja Smith took the stage first and performed songs from her critically acclaimed first album, Lost & Found. The crowd was pumped as they sang along to her most popular songs, including “Blue Lights” and “Teenage Fantasy”. Jorja has a unique style and voice and she did not disappoint her fans as they cheered her every move. This is the second time Jorja has performed in the Washington DC area in the last four months, a testament to her strong fan base here.

Kali Uchis grew up in the Washington, D.C. area and has a loyal and strong following here. That became evident as the crowd began cheering and chanting her name as she took the stage. Kali then proceeded to feed off that energy and delivered an awesome performance!. She sang many of her most popular songs from her debut Isolation album. Fans were engaged throughout, peaking when she performed her hit, “After The Storm”.

Kali then brought Jorja Smith onstage to join her in singing Kali’s hit “Tyrant”, and that brought down the house! Jorja remained on stage with Kali for about 15 minutes or so and they performed several popular songs, including Erykah Badu’s “On & On” and Destiny’s Child’s “Bills, Bills Bills”.

All in all, it was a great way for these two young rising music stars to kick off their tour!
