Editor’s Note: BUSH’s 10th full-length album, I Beat Loneliness hit the street last summer and since then the London-based band has been touring non-stop with a special visit to the Nation’s Capital Thursday night.
BUSH delivered an electrifying performance on their highly anticipated Land of Milk and Honey Tour (a nod to a track off the new album), captivating a packed audience at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. on April 9, 2026, with both nostalgia and fresh energy. The band, led by charismatic front-man Gavin Rossdale, proved once again why they remain a staple in modern rock.
From the opening chords, BUSH ignited the crowd with a mix of classic hits and new tracks. Fan favorites like “Machinehead” and “Glycerine” and a very cool version of “Swallowed “were met with roaring sing-alongs, while new material showcased the band’s continued evolution. Rossdale’s vocals were raw and powerful, carrying emotion through every lyric, while the band’s tight musicianship kept the energy high throughout the night.

The stage production was both dynamic and tasteful, with bold lighting and visuals that complemented the music without overshadowing it. And while the visual were great, it was the force of BUSH and Rossdale’s energy that impressed the most.
Gavin Rossdale’s interaction with the crowd was a highlight as he came out into the audience and ran around the whole venue, sharing heartfelt stories between songs, creating a sense of intimacy in the large venue.

Nice work. Stage lighting is difficult to deal with and these are really nice and sharp.
