Turnover Wraps up Tour with Turnstile and Reptaliens at Rams Head Live

Turnover has been a frequently talked about band in the indie/alternative crowd for the past few years after their second studio album, Peripheral Vision made it’s debut in 2015. Starting out in the pop punk scene in 2009, the small “emo” band from Virginia Beach transformed into the indie shoe-gaze three-piece that we hear present day.

Turnover kicked off their 2019 tour with Turnstile and Reptaliens in the beginning of April and played their final night of the tour on Sunday night at Rams Head Live in Baltimore. Being only a few hours away from Virginia Beach, we’ve been lucky to see Turnover play incredible shows in Baltimore plenty of times in the past, and this was no exception.

The band walked out on stage decorated with two quaint painted house backdrops and opened with a well loved song from their album Peripheral Vision, “New Scream”, which had the crowd pretty damn excited. Following with another popular song, “Dizzy On The Comedown”, the melodic and ambient riffs throughout the entire set were refreshing for all on such a rainy Sunday evening. Everyone in the venue seemed to be singing along to each song they played without skipping a beat.

Turnover has never failed to provide such a beautiful performance in the past, and each time I hear them live, I still manage to get chills. They provide a level of contentment within their music that manages to connect a crowd instantaneously. As the night drew to an end, the band finished off with two more songs from Peripheral Vision, one of them being “Cutting My Fingers Off”, the album’s lead single. The powerful guitar and moving lyrics had the crowd moving and singing wildly with a perfect ending to their set. Turnover has been breaking ground into the Indie scene for a few years now, growing more and more with each new release.

If you haven’t checked them out, be sure to catch them next time they’re in Baltimore to hear it for yourself or check them out on Spotify below! Turnover will absolutely take your breath away.
