Saturday I was treated to a guitar buffet in the Maryland countryside. In support of his solo album Highway Junkie, Richmond native Andy Thomas brought a night of great guitar and vocals to The Manor Mill in Monkton, Maryland. Accompanied by guitar master Scott Tournet and bassist Nico G. Swarley, the trio blended their strings into a masterpiece of sound. Andy’s set consisted mostly of his albums tune with a couple strategically placed covers, Greg Alman’s “I’m No Angel” for one.
I’ve seen Andy before as the guitarist for the band Yarn where he blew me away with his solos. Now he brings it all together with a well rounded sound as he describes the album as “Honky Tonk & Roll,” and the crowd loved every moment.

Definitely an evening great entertainment. Get out and check out Andy’s brilliant new album Highway Junkie. It will be a very entertaining listen. Available streaming wherever you listen, or check out Andy for vinyl and CD at andythomasmusic.com.
Again the historic Manor Mill brought another evening of fine entertainment to the Baltimore County countryside. Thanks for your commitment to live music!

Nice work. Stage lighting is difficult to deal with and these are really nice and sharp.
