PREVIEW: THE ROOTS PICNIC Heads to the Belmont Plateau – 5/30-5/31/26

The legendary band, The Roots and Live Nation Urban bring THE ROOTS PICNIC back to Philly and to the Belmont Plateau for a two-day festival, and this time they’re pulling out all the stops! Don’t miss when multiple GRAMMY award winning artist Jay-Z joins The Roots to headline the first night on Saturday, May30th while GRAMMY winning singer, songwriter, and record producer Erykah Badu headlines May 31st.

AND IF THAT WASN’T ALL! Other performers include Kehlani, Brandy, TI, Mariah The Scientist, Wale, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Destin Conrad, KWN, and a special Celebration of 50 Years of Go-go.

From the press release, “This will also mark the first year the festival will be held at the historic Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park. Belmont Plateau is known for having one of the best views of the city and is a place where hip hop and black culture flourished in the 1980s and early 90s.”

For over 15 years, The Roots Picnic has brought tons of talent to the City of Brotherly Love. Previous Roots Picnics have included award winners Lenny Kravitz, GloRilla, Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, John Legend, Gary Clark Jr, Snoop Dogg, and The Weeknd among so many others.
