Courtney Barnett returns to DC on the heels of her fantastic new record, Creature of Habit!
Don’t miss the GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter has she brings the Creature of Habit Tour to The Anthem on Sunday, May 10th.
Barnett has set the bar high with her previous work, but Creature of Habit has done it again with a “bold, emotionally resonant record that explores the central question: how to get out of your own way so you can truly feel your life,” according to her press release. “This album is all about change,” Barnett shares on the project. “It’s in the lyrics, it’s in the ideas, I can’t avoid it. It’s about embracing change, but also grieving the things that have changed–the chaos and confusion of all of those feelings.”
Check out the Official Video for “One Thing at a Time” by Courtney Barnett:
The new album mixes a lot of the elements from Barnett’s catalog from rollicking numbers like “Sight Unseen” with crystal clear harmonies from Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield to introspective, quieter songs like “Mostly Patient,” to indie rock gems like the guitar driven “Mantis,” Creature of Habit is an incredible body of work.
Don’t miss experiencing these songs live along other hits like “Depreston,” “Avant Gardener,” and “Nameless, Faceless.” And if that wasn’t enough, joining Courtney Barnett is New York indie rockers Momma in what is sure to be an unforgettable show.

Nice work. Stage lighting is difficult to deal with and these are really nice and sharp.
