These Subtle Sounds

A place for music lovers

Photo Recap: Sum 41 at the House of Blues Orlando

Orlando’s 101.1 (WJRR) hosted The Blizzard of Rock featuring Sum 41 on Wednesday, December 18th at the House of Blues, Orlando.

Local favorite 408 got the party started with their infectious, self-labeled “Lemon Pop” sound.  But these guys are much more than that and are definitely worth the listen (and download!)    Next up was Virginia based Broadside.  These Warped Tour alumni brought that same energy to this stage, keeping the crowd pumped with their punk/pop sound and also keeping it real with heartfelt lyrics that resonated with the audience.

Headliner Sum 41 took the stage last and was PURE ENERGY from start to finish.  Almost 20 years after I first saw them on stage and they were still as electrifying on stage as the first time.   Covering fan favorites like the garage punk sounds of “Fat Lip” to newer, edgier tracks such as Out for Blood”  Sum 41 showed they plan to hang around the music scene for many years to come!
