American avant-garde sludge metal pioneers Neurosis stopped at 9:30 Club in DC recently. There was no photo pit for this show. I had to find a decent position in the crowd, firmly plant my feet, hold my breath, and hope for the best possible shots. 

Neurosis’ current lineup consists of Scott Kelly (vocals, guitar), Steve Von Till (vocals, guitar), Dave Edwardson (bass guitar), Noah Landis (keyboards), and Jason Roeder (drums). Neurosis is a band well worth checking out live if you’re a fan of experimental metal music. They definitely have a sound and style uniquely their own.
