A little more than a year later, Walk Off the Earth returns to The Fillmore Silver Spring, and we know that this performance will be just as great as the last! Earlier this year, the band lost a dear band member. Mike, “Beard Guy” Taylor passed away on December 30th. He was not only a multi-instrumentalists, he was one of a the founding members of the band, making this a great loss.
However, despite their loss, the band has continued to pay tribute to the “Beard Guy” and bring their amazing performances to the world. We are looking forward to seeing them perform at The Fillmore this upcoming Wednesday. Last year’s show highlights included an amazing performance of “Bohemian Rhapsody” (which quickly became a crowd sing-a-long), as well as, their noteworthy cover of Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know”.
At recent shows, Walk Off the Earth have been performing a variety of covers and originals. A few highlights from their recent setlist include Wheatus’ “Teenage Dirtbag” and a fun melody that includes “Shape of You” by Ed Sheeran blended with TLC’s “No Scrubs”.
Walk Off the Earth always deliver a fun and energetic performance that attracts fans of all ages. We know that we will miss “Beard Guy” but we know that he would want the music to continue. This band brings smiles to everyone’s faces and we are looking forward to spending Wednesday evening with them at The Fillmore Silver Spring! Be sure to get your tickets to this show! You don’t want to miss it!
