This past Saturday night, I found myself in Monkton, Maryland at the historic Manor Mill. I was not there to view the beautiful art produced by local artisans or to participate in the many classes they offer, but to see a band called Whiskey Feathers in the Mills music space the Loft. This Loft is a rustic barn infused venue and an excellent place to witness live music.
Now about this band. What can I say other than I was blown away by the band’s excellent song writing and their incredible performance. They played two sets featuring the songs off their new record, Stardust a Garden of which the single “Enchanted” is currently getting radio play on radio 89.7 WTMD.
Front man, song writer and guitarist Brittian Duckworth leads the crew. With violinist Kyndal Gehlbach also helping with vocals along with Jenny Fitchett who plays keys. Lucas Chohany masters an awesome electric guitar, picking out leads with the bassist Jon Schroeder laying down the bass lines and keeping the beats on drums was E.J.Thompson.
All in all it was an awesome evening of music at a historical venue. It doesn’t get much better than that! Be sure to check out Manor Mill and all of their amazing events and shows! You won’t regret it!
