Virginia Beach natives, Turnover, brought their zen and tranquil tour to an end at 9:30 on 12/19/19. They closed their winter tour, with Renata Zeiguier and Men I Trust, in support of their new album, Altogether. Renata started the show off with a bang and stunned most everyone, including me, with her powerful, reserved vocals. Men I Trust, fresh off their 2019 release, Oncle Jazz, gave the room some zen and relaxing vibes. Their sound took the weight of the holidays and cold from the winter off of everyone in the club. It was almost like a group therapy session of some sorts.
By the time Turnover came on, you could feel the tension in the room. Everyone standing on their tippy-toes awaiting the guys to take the stage and blow the roof off. And that they did. Everywhere I looked faces were smiling and heads were grooving. Their nostalgic sounds had people from ages 10 to 60 dancing to some capacity. Enjoy these photos of all three bands performing at the 930 Club on December 19th. We were able to review their show at Rams Head back in May. You can check that out by clicking here!
