I truly believe that Americana music began when The Band made “Music from Big Pink”. Also that the best music concert film made was “The Last Waltz.” The impact they had on music was unquestionably from Bob Dylan to Eric Clapton and to today with Lukas Nelson, Jamey Johnson, and Warren Haynes. As they took the stage Monday evening, at Santander Arena and began with “Up on Cripple Creek”, the emotions began to flow. My father was my first thought and how I should have brought him. He gave me so much music!

This group of musicians fit together so well, just like The Band. Their harmonies flowed together like creeks coming together to make a river. Jamey Johnson totally floored the crowd with his version of “Georgia”. This show reminds us that music is a gift that is given to us and we cant forget the artist that came before us.
