WTMD’s First Thursday Festival kicked off the season on May 2 at Canton Waterfront Park. The rain held off and it turned out to be a wonderful pre-summer evening on the waterfront! Both stages provided music throughout the night and there was plenty of food! There was quite a turnout for this First Thursday. Jah Works closed out the evening on the Maryland Department of Agriculture Stage, following Strykers’ Posse and Shangoband. Mt. Joy ended the evening on the West Stage with Cautious Clay and Raul Midón supporting.
It was a very successful first night of this great festival that will continue all throughout the summer! Mark your calendars for the first Thursday of each month and enjoy great music on the waterfront! We will be covering the festival each month! For more information on the bands who performed on May 2nd, check out WTMD’s website as well as our festival preview coverage here.
