Sunday night at Pearl Street Warehouse was the place to be! A mostly all female lineup consisting of local musicians, delivered incredible covers of 80’s hits in support of ProjectHERA. ProjectHERA is a nonprofit that was created to empower female musicians of all ages and support their endeavors in the music industry!
From the projects amazing website: “ProjectHERA’s mission is to foster and nurture a musical community of positivity, growth, empowerment, and unity for women and girls. We strive to support women in music by providing opportunities for them to not only perform and share their music, but to also connect with other like-minded individuals, strengthening the network as a whole.”
Throughout the evening, there were 16 different performers that took the stage. However, the event was so organized that everything transitioned smoothy between sets. Each artist performed two-three songs with a DJ providing 80’s hits in-between quick set changes.
Every performer delivered a unique version of a variety of songs from the 80’s and took the stage wearing a flashback wardrobe making the audience feel like they were really back in mid-1985! The list of performers included:
Rokket Copter
Loi Loi – Acoustic
Selene Benally – Acoustic
Dad Legs
Jahnel Daliya
Mundy
Cecily – Acoustic
Boss Co.
Vania Holtz – Acoustic
The Ferns
Carly Harvey – Acoustic
Haircuts

ProjectHERA held the event to raise money for their festival this September. This festival will include a variety of musicians and performers showcasing local and national female talent! Back in December, ProjectHERA presented, Women who Rock the 90s and it was a big hit! Just like the 90’s installment, the 80’s was so much fun!
Please take the time to check out ProjectHERA’s website and support the events that this amazing foundation is doing to encourage women musicians! We had such a great time Sunday night and know that their festival this upcoming September will be AMAZING!
For now, check out some of the incredibly talented musicians who performed Sunday night at Pearl Street Warehouse for Women who Rock the 80s!
