The middle of the week is always hard for people, we need something and somewhere to go and blow off the steam. Well, less than an hour north of Baltimore, a very easy drive with minimal traffic, is a place the holds amazing sound and is a great visual experience. It is called the Forum Auditorium in Harrisburg, PA and to see a show here is a perfect experience. Harrisburg University Presents has brought the area several great shows to The Forum over the last several months with many more to come!
The Revivalists and the RevHeads (that is the name for their dedicated fans), showed up on Wednesday to just celebrate music and be a part of a special evening. They kicked the evening off with “Criminal” and the crowd went wild! The Revivalist performed every song you’d want to hear from, “It was a Sin” to “Soulfight”. Although a highlight for me was their version of The Bee Gees cover, “To Love Somebody.
This band is all about their fans, you can tell by the way lead singer plays to the crowd. To be honest, you are not there watch a Revivalists concert, you are there to participate in a musical experience with the band. Every night is different with these guys and they put their heart into their performances. Typically, The Forum Auditorium is a fully seated venue; however, for the first time, they removed seats and had a general admission area. It was perfect and much needed for this band!
If you live in the Baltimore area and points north, I cannot recommend HU Presents enough. Be sure to follow them on Facebook, Instagram, and their website for all the amazing shows taking place in the upcoming months.
There is something special happening north of Baltimore that we should not miss out on. Thanks to HU Presents, Harrisburg, PA is becoming the next big thing in the Mid-Atlantic music scene!
Tank and the Bangas, from New Orleans, brought their spoken word and soul songs to Harrisburg. They were the perfect opener for this great night of music!
