One Year.
One Year and two weeks, to be a bit more exact.
This is how long it’s been since I felt the goosebumps and chills of a live concert.
Well, this past Friday, March 19th, I finally got a taste of a litte normalcy. However, it was more than that! It was also the grand RE-opening of The Recher in Towson, and what better band to grace the stage on opening night, than the Kelly Bell Band.
As I walked into the venue, I was greeted by floods smiling faces – all in anticipation of this night! The loud hum of amps vibrating in my ears and that beginning strum of the guitar, it was like my very first concert all over again. Although this was my first Kelly Bell show, thanks to my brother who asked me to go to the show, it will definitely not be my last!
They kicked of the show with “Homegrown” and it was just the primer to light the fire for the entire night. The highlight was of the last song, when Kelly Bell became very emotional and with tears in his eyes, he performed a song for his father. It hit me very hard. To say it was an explosive evening does not come close.
Get out to this venue to see a socially distanced show, and support local music.
Thank you so much to the folks at The Recher.
