With a sold out show, you expect a band to really lay it out there, however when St. Paul and the Broken Bones took the stage Friday night at Rams Head Live in Baltimore, no one expected what was to come.
To start off the evening, Valley Queen, from Los Angeles, brought an intensity and energy to the stage few bands bring to the open set. Be sure to check out their debut album, Supergiant.
Then, as St. Paul and the Broken Bones came to the stage, there was a palpable feeling something special was about to take place. Opening up with “LivwithoutU”, church came into session.
Front man, Paul Janeway brings the perfect mixture of Elton John and Otis Redding to the stage. Then, midway through this powerful musical revival, we all knew we were being baptized in the water of the past and the future. As a result, this became a night to never forget. We are all so fortunate that there is still music that makes you want to cry and smile all at the same time.
So, I believe in St. Paul, do you?! Check out the new album, Young Sick Camellia. However, in the meantime, enjoy some photos of St. Paul and the Broken Bones performing with Valley Queen at Rams Head Live on Friday, February 15th.
