Maryland Art Place will be featuring their first exhibition since early 2020: Seen: 20 Years of Baltimore Music Photography. This exhibit was curated by Josh Sisk, Joe Giordano with support from Audrey Gatewood. It will feature a comprehensive look at music in Baltimore over the past 20 years.
In addition to the photography exhibit, Baltimore photographer, Joe Giordano, in partnership with WTMD radio, is producing a documentary on the last 20 years of Baltimore music. This documentary will be screened at Maryland Art Place in November.
The work of several Baltimore photographers will be featured. In addition to our very own, Shantel Mitchell Breen, you will see the amazing work of Mike Jon, Valerie Paulsgrove, Jefferson Jackson Steele, Andrew Mangum, Frank Hamilton, Josh Sisk, Brandon Fieldhouse, Perri Fae, Natasha Tylea, Kate Frese, Sydney Allen, Ted Henn, Kelley Connelly, Farrah Skeiky, Shane Gardner, Megan Elyse Lloyd, Stewart Mostofsky, J.M. Giordano, Dubscience, Pink Lloyd Wright, Micah E. Wood and Theresa Keil.
SEEN will be on view Thursday, September 24 – Saturday, November, 14. The exhibition will open Thursday, September 24 with a reception held from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm. There will be two hour and a half slots: Reception A with a timeslot from 5 pm to 6:30 pm and Reception B with at timeslot of 7 pm to 8:30 pm. YOU MUST RSVP TO ATTEND.
