Joyero opened for The Fruit Bats Saturday, November 23rd at The Union Craft Brewing Company in Baltimore. Andy Stack, formerly of Baltimore and part of the duo, Wye Oak, brought his one man show to the Union Craft Brewery. Armed with his guitar and sax, Andy assaulted the evening with his brand of songs in support of his latest record Release The Dogs. He effortlessly filled the building with mega sounds generated by the one man effort.
Fruit Bats were next to take the stage. This was my first time seeing this band live and it was an absolute pleasure. Eric Johnson, the singer songwriter from Chicago, brought his band to the stage and tore it up. Some say they were on the forefront of folk-rock movement of the early 2000s. The crowd yelled out their vocal approval after every song getting louder with each selection. I would definitely love to see them again!
