Emily Haines with her band, Metric, returns to the area this Friday and will be performing at the Fillmore in Silver Spring. Metric formed in 1998 and have been delivering stellar performances ever since! Fantasies, the band’s 2009 album, is one of my personal favorites. It ranks right up there in my top 20 favorite albums of all time.
Metric is on tour in support of their recent release, Art of Doubt. “Love You Back” is their latest single from this album. To show their appreciation, the video for this song is performed by fans. As a result, the band creates a video that is less about cultivating a perfect image and more about genuine expression. Metric is also releasing a limited-edition color vinyl and exclusive t-shirt for the song on Valentine’s Day! You can pick up your copy on their site this Thursday!
Although the tour just kicked off on February 11th, shows have been selling out! If you do not have tickets, you should pick them up today!
