Meet Frank Thompson

One day I came across a pawnshop, that is where I found a Sony Digital camera I thought taking pictures would be fun again. I had a film camera back in the 80s that I used sparingly due to film and development costs, but I figured in the digital age it would be good to pick up the hobby again. Needless to say my gear has been extensively upgraded since then.

Music has been a big influence on me for some time and now armed with a camera the 2 became connected. I loved to photograph local bands. In addition, I’ve attended 10 of the 12 Delfests and I have photographed the previous for myself until this year when I helped to cover the event for These Subtle Sounds. I so appreciate the opportunity to pursue my passions.

I prefer Bluegrass, Americana, and Blues with some Rock and Country thrown in from time to time.  I’m a lifelong resident of Southern York County in Pennsylvania putting me in the center of many venues in PA and the MD/DC area.   Facing retirement in a couple years, I can now spend more time on photographic endeavors. I also photograph landscapes and nature.  I enjoy providing a different perspective to my photography and I appreciate all the support I’ve received.
