Sunday evenings are for relaxing and getting ready for the work week, but not if you were at The Appell Center for the Performing Arts in York Pennsylvania. JJ Grey and Mofro was in town to wrap up his current tour and Sunday night was full of energy. The crowd was a perfect crowd! JJ stated. “this is a crowd you want to play for, silent on the quiet parts and loud and rowdy on the rocking songs.”

He performed every song you’d want to hear, along with a soulful cover of Jimi Hendrix “Hey Joe”. With JJ Grey’s voice, you sometimes forget about how this man can play the guitar and harmonica. He performed one of my favorite songs, “The Sun is Shining Down”. It left me with goosebumps up and down my arm.

To say the show was great show would be an understatement. The Appell Center is a perfect place for a show like this. The crew and staff there are the friendliest staff around. Make sure you get there and see a show soon! Take a look at their show calendar, here!
